East coast from Ruvuma, Tanzania to Umvoti, KwaZulu-Natal, also Orange, Cunene and Zambian Congo systems (Ref. 7248 , 52193 ). Replaced in Okavango, upper Zambezi and Kafue by Enteromius poechii (Ref. 52193 ).
