- Africa: Cuanza and Bengo basins in Angola (Ref. 11970 ), entire Congo River basin and Okavango, Zambezi, and Kafue systems (Ref. 52193 ). Present in Koki River, a Lake Tanganyika tributary (Ref. 36901 ). Also reported from the Gribingui, Lake Chad basin (Ref. 83569 ), but this needs confirmation.
