Africa: widely distributed in savannah area of West Africa (Ref. 2801 ), including Chad basin (Ref. 2801 , 2940 , 81282 ), Niger, Volta, Mono, Ouémé, Gambia, Senegal and other coastal basins (Ref. 2940 , 81282 ). Also known from the Kotto River, Ubangi River drainage, middle Congo River basin (Ref. 12818 ). Also reported from the White Nile (Ref. 120561 ) and from South Sudan (Ref. 4906 ).
