Trichomycterus argos is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Trichomycteridae, the pencil and parasitic catfishes. This catfish is endemic to Brazil, where it occurs in the Doce River Basin, situated in the Serra do Brigadeiro range, Minas Gerais.
