- Africa: Nigeria to Cameroon (Ref. 57127 ), possibly also from coastal rivers in Togo (Ref. 78218 ). Known from the rivers Ogun (Ref. 13331 ), lower Niger (Ref. 13331 , 57127 ), Kwa-Ibo and Cross in Nigeria (Ref. 43912 , 57127 ), and the Wouri, Sanaga and Nyong in Cameroon (Ref. 7351 , 43912 , 81643 ). Report from Ogowe (Ref. 43912 ) refers to S. laticeps (Ref. 81643 ). Report from the Congo River basin (Ref. 51193 ) not confirmed in Ref. 43912 , 78218 or 81643 .
