Southwest Pacific: South Island, southeast of North Island as far as north of Gisborne of New Zealand, Chatham Islands, Stewart Island, and the Snares Islands; rare in Makara, near Wellington and Napier. Recorded in Three Kings Islands (Ref. 30464 , 58932 ).
