Distribution: Africa: Okavango and Kafue system in southern Africa (Ref. 52193 ). Also in the lower (Ref. 42510 , 41585 ), middle (Ref. 11970 , 41590 , 41591 , 82705 ) and upper (Ref. 106245 ) Congo River basin. Reports from the upper Zambezi and some from the Kafue (Ref. 12524 , 13337 , 94654 ) are misidentifications of Nannocharax dageti (Ref. 95523 ).
