Africa: lower Congo River basin in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 42476 , 42510 ). Also reported from the middle Chari (Chad basin) in Chad (Ref. 3052 ) and the Cross River in Nigeria (Ref. 52861 ), but presence of this species in West Africa needs confirmation (Ref. 81274 ).
