- Africa: subspecies Labeobarbus intermedius intermedius widely distributed throughout southern Ethiopia and into northern Kenya, certainly as far as Lake Baringo, but excluding the lake itself (Ref. 2801 , 108777 ). Subspecies L. i. australis only known from Lake Baringo (Ref. 2801 , 108777 ).
