Western Atlantic: widespread in tropical waters, including the Caribbean, east coast of America between 40°N and 30°S (Ref. 47377 ). Eastern Atlantic: apparently more restricted, from Cape Verde to about 11°S. Northwest Atlantic: Canada (Ref. 5951 ).
