Coregonus nilssoni is a putative species of whitefish, part of the Coregonus lavaretus complex (European whitefish). It is a pelagic fish feeding on zooplankton. Its distribution is in lakes of Sweden, southern Norway, Denmark and Poland.

- Europe: Lakes of western central Baltic basin, Sweden, southern Norway, Denmark, lower Odra drainage in Poland. Introduced in some lakes in Poland (Ref. 59043 ). As a result of transplantation, this species became widespread in the lakes of former East Prussia (Ref. 593 ).
