Cichla orinocensis, sometimes known as the Orinoco peacock bass, tucunaré or tucunaré miri, is a very large species of cichlid. This peacock bass is native to the Rio Negro and Orinoco River basins in northern South America. It mainly occurs in blackwater rivers.
