Schizopygopsis labiosa is a species of cyprinid fish that is only found in the upper reaches of the Yellow River basin in the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of China, where it mostly inhabits slow-flowing cold waters at altitudes above 3,000 m (9,800 ft). It was regarded as the only member of the genus Chaunchia, and as a schizothoracine (snowtrout and allies). However, Eschmeyer's Catalog of Fishes classifies this species within the genus Schizopygopsis in the subfamily Schizopygopsinae.
