- Western Central Pacific: Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea (Ref . 84037). Re-examination of the type series of Chrysiptera sinclairi revealed that several of the paratypes are actually identifiable as Chrysiptera cymatilis (Ref. 31117 ).
