Distribution: Western Pacific: from Puluwat westward to Palau; south to Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Fiji; also Indonesia. It was not observed at Rarotonga (Cook Islands), Kiritimati (Line Islands), nor American Samoa during brief surveys of deep reefs at these localities.
