Acentrogobius is a genus of gobies native to marine, fresh and brackish waters of the coasts of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. Acentrogobius matsya is an otolith-based fossil species found in the Burdigalian (Miocene) Quilon Formation of southwestern India.
