基伍平鰭鮠，為輻鰭魚綱鯰形目平鰭鮠科的其中一種，為熱帶淡水魚，分布於非洲基伍湖、坦噶尼喀湖西部支流流域，體長可達10.6公分，棲息在岩石底質底層水域，生活習性不明。

分布: Africa: affluents of the Lualaba (upper Congo River basin), Rusizi and Lake Tanganyika in Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi (Ref. 87863 ), Rwanda (Ref. 87863 ) and Tanzania (Ref. 4967 ). Also reported from the upper Kagera drainage in Rwanda (Ref. 87863 ). Reports from the Lufira drainage (upper Congo basin) (Ref. 2970 ) not confirmed. Reports possibly from Lake Kivu (Ref. 59189 , 83444 ) questionable and unconfirmed in Ref. 3818 or 107916.
