In southern Africa, restricted to the middle and lower Zambezi, Buzi and Pungwe (Ref. 52193 ). Also known from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Albert [former Lake Mobuto] (Ref. 3203 , 52193 ).
