Southwest Pacific: New Zealand and Australia (Ref. 7300 ). Southeast Pacific: Nazca and Sala-y-Gomez (Ref. 50546 ). Macristium chavesi (pelagic larvae) known from Dominican Republic, Bay of Biscay, Azores, and in the Indian Ocean.
